Summer 2016 MoodBoard from Shawna Lenee Show

Thanks for coming to check out my Summer 2016 MoodBoard! I love making these every season and fill them up with all of the things I plan on enjoying! As you can see, there is a LOT of Disneyworld in this MoodBoard, because my family trip is 16 DAYS away!

I also hope to see an extreme amount of flowers and nature. I wish for another trip to the Metroparks to take more nature photography soon! I have yet to take a walk there this Summer and really need to plan a day to visit next week before we leave for vacation!

Autumn 2015 Mood Board

Autumn 2015 Mood

I have wanted to make a Mood Board on the Shawna Lenee Show for awhile now and today is the perfect day to do it! I took a photo of my front yard yesterday morning while this unexpected, weird rain started falling. The leaves on the trees are a gorgeous yellow orange today in Cleveland. The colors will be changing so fast over the next couple of weeks! Soon they will be orange then brown then on the ground. I would love to make it to the Metroparks this weekend to capture these gorgeous colors with my nice camera.

The photo I am using as inspiration for this Mood Board was taken with my Galaxy Note 4. I also cropped into it a little (it was taken through my screen porch) and I also added the Black Cat filter on Allis. The colors in the original photo were very bland and the orange in the leaves wasn’t photographed at all it seemed.

I also want to take this chance to congratulate the winner of Snapchat Contest #003: Michael L. from Auburn, WA! Thank you all for playing in the contest this time! I hope Snapchat Contest #004 starts soon. I need to get 50k Followers on Twitter first, so Follow Me and tell your friends!

There are so many new things I have to tell you guys about! For example, you can now purchase my Worn Panties with extra options at ManyVids! You can have an autographed photo of me wearing the panties sent with them, I will make them extra creamy, or I will even add my favorite perfume so you will always have my scent! You can even choose all three options if you like!

My next blog post will be about one my latest scene releases! I have made my fans dream come true and I have a recently released scene with Mandingo over at the DogFart Network! I never thought I would be able to take all of that but I did and the scene is absolute GOLD!

You can also keep donating to my NEW BOOB FUND via ManyVids, as well! We have a total of $917 raised so far on MFI! Before you freak out, please know that I am not going under an elective surgery that I just want. This is mandatory because I have Capsular Contracture – Grade 4. This is a painful condition, so spare the rude remarks. (I have been getting many when some fans hear that I have to have another surgery. They forget that my implants are almost NINE YEARS old!!)

How Do I Put My Friends in the Best Light?

I have been trying to master the art of encouraging others for the past year. I think encouragement makes a huge difference in our lives. I want to always be there for my friends when they are feeling down or lose sight of their goals. I try to send encouraging messages to my friends and followers online as much as possible. Even though I prefer not to be in “therapist mode”, I will always be available for a boost of confidence!

There is an endless amount of ways you can start encouraging your friends and others you meet. I think the first rule is to pay attention to the other person first. Make sure you are in a position where encouragement will be seen as such. I am listing my favorite ways to share encouragement to those who need it below. Please look over this list. You may already accomplish these mini-missions on your own!

  • Talk good about the person, never speak down on them. We are equals. If someone makes a different decision than you would have made, that doesn’t put them on a lower scale.
  • Point out the person’s best qualities, other than their physical appearance. Compliment their work ethic, positive attitudes, or achievements. If you can’t find anything- Look harder.
  • Don’t talk about yourself. Remember that the encouraging moment is about them, not you. It may be tempting to cut in and tell your own similar story, but wait until the appropriate time.
  • Keep information that the person tells you to yourself. Most likely, that person is confiding in you and does not expect you to share their feelings or actions. Be respectful of their privacy. Be trustful.
  • Send a random encouraging note to a friend if you see them having a tough time with a situation. Maybe your friend is going through a breakup, or is having difficulties with work drama. Send a nice email or card.
  • Let them know you are there for them and that they can reach out to you when needed. Form a basis of trust, so that your friend actually trusts your words of encouragement.
  • Remember that the best decision for that person can only be determined by that person. Offering guidance and advice can be helpful but keep in mind that they will make the decision they think is best for them.

Why Should I Encourage Others?

Encouraging others is important, whether you are boosting your friend’s self-esteem or a stranger’s. Encouraging others (the opposite of bringing others down) is simply the right thing to do. Us humans are social beings and depend on each other for many things. Encouraging a friend can help you two bond and gain a stronger friendship. It’s so easy for us to fall into slumps when encouragement can make a huge difference. To make a better world, we need more positive. Staying neutral with encouragement will make the same progress we have now and not more.

A little bit of encouragement may help someone enough to actually boost their spirits to fix a problem. Having a chance to go over the problem and think about options may be all that person needs to figure out the best decision for them. Who doesn’t love to solve problems? I sure do. And I love to be helpful. Encouragement seems like a perfect way to be helpful and resourceful at the same time.

How Will This Help Me?

Helping others with encouragement will have benefits for you as well, not just for the person you are trying to inspire! It’s easy to become inspired when you start inspiring others! Speaking for myself, I feel really great about myself when I help a sad friend feel happy again! Remember how I mentioned that humans are social beings? There may be a time when you need someone to lean on and that person you helped may be happy to return the favor!

Why Are Goals Important?

I love setting goals for myself. If you haven’t found out yet, I am a list taker, to-do maker, and goal setter. Goals are insanely important. There was a time, about 6 or 7 years ago that I had zero goals. I had no sense of direction. I had no idea where I even wanted to go in life. Maybe it was the age I was at. Then around 4 years ago, everything started coming together as I set goals for myself. Goals have given me a sense of meaning in my day-to-day life. I wake up and I have a list of things I want to accomplish. Whether it is doing chores around the house, spending more than usual with my kids, or working on a project.

How Many Goals Should I Have?

I recommend having three tiers of goals (Long-term, short-term, and daily). First, you need long-term goals. These are goals you want to reach in the next 2-3 years or more. I suggest having at least 2 or more of these long-term goals. One of my long-term goals is to purchase a house in the next 2 years. Using this long-term goal, I can then shape my short-term goals. Short-term goals, in my opinion, should be completed within year of making them. Going off of my long-term goal example, I know how much I need to save for the down payment I want (2 year goal). So, I can set a short-term goal to have half of this money saved within a year, if I want the total amount within 2 years. This process is basically just breaking your long-term goal down into sections, or pieces. I can break it down even further for my daily goals by setting sales and profit goals. I based my example off of money but you can apply these goal setting techniques to any goal you want to accomplish.

How Does Having Goals Make Me Stronger?

The feeling I get from completing a goal is definitely euphoric. My goals even include how much traffic I bring in to this site (and my other sites). When I break my goals, I just feel like dancing. Goals help us learn problem-solving skills. As long as we take one step at a time, we learn to solve the problem with each step. There may be some set-backs, like not getting into that college you wanted to attend, but these setbacks will only make you stronger. Life isn’t always happy moments, and you will be rejected once in a while. By taking a look at the situation, we may be able to find a fix. You may find that you were only 20 seconds away from your goal in that mile run. Even though you didn’t win this time, you can look at your training schedule to see what can be changed to gain that 20 seconds.

Motivation and Distractions

Motivation Slips Away

It would probably set a good vibe if I opened up my blog with a motivational quote. Motivation is a huge part of my daily life. I constantly make to-do lists and set reminders so I can always stay on time with tasks. It’s really easy for us all to get side-tracked. Social mediums like Facebook and Twitter are huge sources of distraction. All of the photos, links, hot girls.. How could someone not forget what they were supposed to do? Those systems were designed to continuously keep our attention. Because we are imperfect humans, we become distracted and time just seems to slip away.

What is Your Biggest Distraction?

Let’s discuss what your biggest distraction is. What keeps you from competing all of those things you wanted to finish? Is it a lack of energy? Or that new TV series you can’t stop watching every Tuesday night? It could possibly be hanging out with friends and spending too much time on your social life. I know that sometimes I get lost for awhile in music. I’ll turn on my new favorite song then start singing and dancing around the house. You can stop laughing at me now- I will dance anywhere, anytime.

Do You Want to Dance?

For whatever distraction you have, keeping the right balance between work and home life is extremely important. But for those of us who want to complete just a little bit more.. For those of us who want to be even more productive.. What is your biggest distraction? Is it easier for you to keep dancing, or is it easier to just sit down and do the work? What keeps you motivated to be productive? My kids and my goals are what keep me going every single day. Tracking my progress daily has also been a huge motivation for me. I love seeing my stats grow!
